JUST IN: Rivers monarch appointed LAUTECH Chancellor

The Oyo State Executive Council (ExCo) has announced the appointment of HRM Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, Paramount Ruler of Emuoha Kingdom, as the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho.

The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun made this known after the State ExCo meeting held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

LAUTECH will benefit from the rich experience of the first class monarch as an administrator, community leader and a reverred traditional ruler.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the Rivers monarch will be replacing the former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu who was appointed the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho in 2012. 

Mr. Tinubu’s appointment was contained in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday by Festus Adedayo, the Special Adviser on Media to the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
