Deji Adekanmbi “Tiger” wins first edition of Gen. O.O Soleye memorial golf tournament 

Ibadan city was agog during the last weekend when over 120 golfers across the country assembled in the prestigious Tiger Golf Club, Odogbo, to give their last respect to the late General and a philanthropist of a note, Major Gen. O.O Soleye died in London last month.

The tournament was organised by Tiger Golf Club executives and the 34 Regularly Course of Nigerian Army.

The captain of the club, Tunde Salami, appreciates the course mates of the deceased and the LOC of the tournament headed by Muyiwa Laniyan, he describes O.O Soleye Rtd, has a complete gentleman, promoter of peace and very kind, he mentioned that the space left behind by the late General will be very difficult to fill.

A member of the LOC Otunba Yomi Ojo, when speaking with the journalists after the tournament, appreciates the participated golfers, the donors, the members of 34RC, the trustees of  Tiger Golf Club and the friends and family of Late Gen O.O Soleye for making the tournament a success. 

The winners of the tournament are Deji Adekanmbi, who won the  tournament with 69 net, A.V.M Lar from IBB Golf Golf and Demola Ozolua of Tiger Golf Club came 1st and 2nd Runners up, Adepoju Y of Abeokuta Golf Club won female  best net, Okunola M of Tiger Golf Club, and Samuel L of Jaji Golf Club came 1st and 2nd runners up in female category.
