BBYDI’s Abideen Olasupo speaks at UN’s ECOSOC Youth Forum in New York

Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative, BBYDI, announced Wednesday that its Global Director, Abideen Olasupo, has been selected as the sole Nigerian speaker during the plenary sessions of the Economic and Social Council, ECOSOC, Youth Forum.

The event will be held in New York from April 25-27, 2023.

The ECOSOC Youth Forum is an opportunity for young people to engage with policymakers, UN officials, and other stakeholders to discuss crucial issues related to sustainable development.

This year’s theme is “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at levels.”

During the plenary sessions, Abideen Olasupo will speak on the topic of “Strengthening Trust of Youth in Multilateralism: Exploring Intergenerational and Peer-to-Peer Dialogue.”

He will share his experiences and insights on how to foster trust among young people in the multilateral system and how intergenerational and peer-to-peer dialogue can facilitate this process.

Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative is committed to developing the potential of young people in Nigeria and beyond.

Its Global Director’s participation in the ECOSOC Youth Forum is a testament to the impact of the organisation’s work in promoting youth development and empowerment.
