RAMADAN: Ogbomoso North lawmaker-elect, Bisi Oluranti distributes staple food to Muslims 

The newly elected lawmaker under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 general election, Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyewo-Micheal has distributed food items to over 200 indigent Muslims in Ogbomoso North to alleviate poverty and provide them food to break their fast (Iftar).

The food items, which were distributed in packs consist of basic food needs such as Garri among others to alleviate hunger in the families of the Muslim recipients.

According to information obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR, Mr. Arowona Monsuru received the food donations on Friday at Oja’gbo Central Mosque in Ogbomoso on behalf of Chief Imam Alhaji Taliat Yunus Ayilara. 

The items were delivered on behalf of the Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyewo-Micheal by Mrs. Grace Emmanuel (Women Leader), Isamotu Hammed (Youth Leader), Alagbe Iyanu (PA), and Oloyede Tolulope (Coordinator).

Reacting to the philanthropic gesture, Mr. Nurudeen, the coordinator for a political awareness group, expressed his gratitude for the distribution and said that no state honorable-elect has ever done such for them. 

He praised the newly elected lawmaker and prayed to Allah to keep blessing her so she might expand the quantity, number, and variety of the items because doing so will tremendously aid in offering comfort to those who are going through extreme difficulty during the month of Ramadan. 

He added that the distribution would go to the Muslim community’s poorest households among others.
