Makinde extends Olive branch to Folarin, Adelabu, other Co-contestants 

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has extended an olive branch to his Co-contestants including the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Teslim Folarin and Mr Adelabu Penkelemes of the Accord party. 

The Governor extended the fellowship hands on Saturday while speaking on Fresh FM Ibadan with Mayor Isaac Brown on a programme tagged ‘People’s Parliament.

He said: “As for my co-contestants, let us sit together and join hands together to move our state forward.

“I want to tell you that God has destined me to win and it could be your turn tomorrow. In the next four years, another person will become the governor. So, let’s work together in the best interest of our state”.

MOUTHPIECE NGR recall that Makinde, who is the incumbent governor was declared the winner of the governorship election held across Oyo state on Saturday, 18th March, 2023.

He was announced as the winner at about half past three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday by the Oyo State Chief Collation officer, Professor Adebayo Bamire after receiving a total votes of 563,756 to defeat his closest rival in a landslide, Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress APC, who polled 256,675votes while Accord governorship candidate, Chief Bayo Adelabu garnered 38,357.
