The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye has assured the people of Ogooluwa/Surulere federal constituency that the second term of Governor Seyi Makinde would be more beneficial to the entire people of Oyo state than his first.

Olaleye made the disclosure on Thursday at a separate meeting he had with traditional and religious stakeholders from all over his federal constituency to ask for their support in re-electing Governor Makinde.

The Hon. Commissioner, who met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Surulere branch held at Ilajue Town, and the Muslim Community at the Iresadu Central Mosque led by Imam Sakariyau Adegoke, reiterated that the governor would continue to be fair to all religious bodies and as such, they should make sure they deliver him on Saturday.

He equally held a meeting with members of Surulere Traditional Council which was attended by Oba Moses Olayiwola, Aresapa of Iresapa, Iba of Abogunde, Alapa of Okin, Oloko of Oko, Aregba of Iregba, Onijado of Ijado and others where he also solicited for their votes.

While expressing his sincere gratitude to the religious and traditional leaders for their support during the February 25th national election, which resulted in Hon. Smato of the Peoples Democratic Party winning the House of Representatives seat, he urged them, however, to support Governor Seyi Makinde and the PDP assembly candidate as well.

He said that any positive changes they may have witnessed during his administration, is little compared to what is coming under Omituntun 2.0.

Olaleye emphasized that Governor Makinde is a true Omoluabi who is dedicated to development and said his reelection would help the state progress even further.

In his entourage include the SDP candidate for the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibrahim Gbodeniyi, the GSM cordinator for Surulere, Chief Rasaq Mustapha, the former chairman of Surulere Local Government, Hon. Adeleke Ajala, the former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Oyetunji, Prince Lasisi Oladimeji, and others.
