… Kishi PDP Endorses Qozeem Olayanju For House of Assembly 

Oyo Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal has appealed to residents of Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope Federal Constituency to elect candidates of the Peoples Democratic at all levels during the Saturday general elections for rapid and sustainable development.

Lawal made the appeal on Thursday at the grand finale of the party’s campaign held in Kishi, Irepo local government.

While addressing the mammoth crowd alongside his wife, Mrs Ajibola Lawal, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon Abiodun Oni, PDP Chieftains, Alhaji J.S Amodu, Professor Salihu Abdul One, Alhaji TT among other leaders stated that the sterling performance of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has made PDP a formidable political party that was capable of winning the forthcoming general elections with wide margin.

He noted that the Saturday’s election especially in Kishi would be an avenue to show appreciation to the governor for appointing a Kishi indigene as deputy governor and running mate in the election coming up in March.

Lawal added that under Omituntun 2.0, the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde would focus more on youths and women empowerment, improve  infrastructure development across all the zones.

He therefore urged the electorates to ensure they cast their votes for Hussain Ijabah who is the choice candidate of Irepo local government as well as the PDP candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon Wolekanle.

Speaking on the lawmaker representing Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency, Hon Qozeem Olayanju, he said in the spirit of fairness and equity,  Irepo leaders agreed to retain the slot in Olorunsogo since Irepo had taken the deputy governorship position and House of Representatives slot. He urged the people of Irepo to vote for him on March 11 when the governorship and House of Assembly elections will take place.

On his part, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon Abiodun Oni called on the electorates to vote massively for the candidates of the party on Saturday.

According to him, it is the turn of Irepo to produce House of Representatives member, he therefore urged the electorates to ensure that the candidate of the party, Hussain Ijabah emerged victorious likewise the senatorial candidate of the party, Hon Akinwole Akinwale popularly known as Wolekanle.

In his remarks, Alhaji J.S Amodu stated that Saturday’s election should be seen as revolution for a better society, revolution against bad governance and  oppression occasioned by the All Progressives Congress.

 He urged the electorates to vote candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party from top to bottom.

In his remarks, Professor Abdulone said Kishi should  not be found missing in the victory basket of the PDP House of Representatives flag bearer, Hussain Ijabah adding that the masses would gain a lot by playing politics of development.

He noted that a vote for all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party would bring the much anticipated liberation from unemployment, insecurity among others.

Other dignitaries at the rally include, PDP chairman in Irepo, Hon Bade, Mrs Adenike who distributed campaign materials to the electorates, Ajoki mama, Mrs Bello and chairperson of Olorunsogo local government, Juliana Akani.
