JUST IN: Makinde commends Buhari over Ariwoola CJN’s appointment, swearing in ceremony

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has described Justice Olukayode Ariwoola’s swearing in as substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria as an unprecedented development to Oyo State.

Makinde made the commendation while fielding questions from journalists after the swearing in at the State House, Abuja.

He said: “The message from Oyo is that we are really happy knowing full well that one of our own is now the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

“The good people of Oyo State are thankful to President Muhammadu Buhari for seeing the process through for Justice Ariwoola’s appointment as substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.

When asked about the Peoples Democratic Party and his eventual missing at the flagged off of Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar presidential campaign, Governor Makinde opined that his busy schedule has resulted in his absence.

“I’ve been busy at home in Oyo State, campaigning for everybody. Uyo is not more of priority and where I can put votes together, it’s in Oyo State.”- He said.
