Encomium as Unilorites welcome new VC, Egbewole, seek academic stability

It was with encomiums at the University of Ilorin as students, lecturers welcomed the 11th Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole.

Prof. Egbewole on Monday formally assumed the office and the event was held at the University Auditorium.

In his speech, which he titled: The rises of a sun, he extensively highligted how he’d keep the ground running immediately and take the institution to an enviable height.

Our correspondent who doubled as the student of the University, interviewed a few Lecturers and students who hopefully shared their views on academic stability and hope they new Vice Chancellor would find lasting solutions to addressing it.

Students of the University present at the event had different thoughts and opinions but with a common sense of responsibility to see his tenure a academic academic excellence and stability.
