OYSROMA begins BEME for rehabilitation of 255 roads

The Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) has started the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME) process for Rehabilitation on 255 roads throughout the state’s 33 local government areas. 

This was announced by the chairman of the Oyo state road maintenance agency, OYSROMA, Hon. Ogunlade Busoye Soladoye, while he was inspecting the 255 roads that the state has designated for rehabilitation. 

He said that the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde had given the agency 750,000,000 million naira to  work on to ensure zero potholes on the Roads across the  33Local Government areas which are grouped into Three zones, includes: Ibadan, Oyo – Ogbomoso and Ibarapa – Oke-Ogun.

He stated that Ibadan city had been covered already while the remaining two zones are still being worked on, and very soon everything will be perfected.

He stressed that when he assumed duty,  on his part, he had met with Oysroma Engineers and   an extensive inspection of roads across the state has been done to ensure that rehabilitation of deplorable roads commence speedily.

The Chairman, said that some of the roads that has been rehabilitated in Ibadan city includes:  Dugbe to Mokola roads; Femi Johnson Junction along Oke-Ado road; Molete – Fire Station- Challenge Road; Adeoyo Hospital Junction,( Ring Road) ; ANCE Roundabout, Dugbe and Railway Frontage, Dugbe,  Ibadan.

He further emphasized that  the agency also carried out rehabilitation on Drainagies  along roads such as, repair of Rubble stone drain; Desilting of  silted drains and construction of slit trap for drainagies.

He also commended the Oysroma staffs for giving him full support while urging them to put in more efforts by giving their all  for the work at hand to eradicate potholes in Oyo state.

Honourable Ogunlade Busoye, appreciate  Governor Seyi Makinde  who he said to be the best Governor Oyo state has ever produced for  giving him the opportunity to Chairman OYSROMA , and making the state the Envy of other states in Nigeria.

He urged the people of Oyo state to desist from dumping  refuse on drainage which block waterways and result to spillover thereby causing potholes on the roads, as Asphalt and water are not best of friends.

He also advised the youths to be involved in politics to bring about a change in the nation’s narrative and to do away with all evil vises that could tarnish their good image.
