The Senate Clerk-Elect, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comr. Sa’ad Olatunji Baki has expressed his profound gratitude to delegates, student leaders and well wishers for their support at the just concluded NANS convention which saw his emergence and other leaders.

Baki had on Saturday polled total votes of 111 to surpass Muhammad Saba 81, Saki Abubakar Madaki 60, Charles Dura 32, Stephen Ameluko 3 to emergence victoriously in the just concluded convention.

The statement reads: “Like an age-long adage which says; whoever does not appreciate the kind gesture of today is bereft of that of tomorrow. First and foremost, I want to appreciate the almighty God for his grace and opportunity bestowed on me in the just concluded NANS convention which saw the emergence of new leadership and myself as the Senate Clerk-Elect.

No words can adequately express my gratitude to the NANS JCC, Kwara Axis under the leadership of Comrade Saleeman Yusuf Issa (Lastborn) for their tremendous support and by extension, to the entire NANS Kwara Stakeholders under the Chairmanship of Comrade Lawal Olamilekan (Auto) and the entire Kwara delegates (SUG Presidents) who have continuously stood by me in all facets and given me very kind endorsements that saw my emergence.

I must appreciate the SA Students to Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Mubarak Bello for his enormous display of commitment and efforts. I must also thank the management of my prestigious alma mater, Kwara State Polytechnic for providing such an enabling environment for students to thrive.

Moreover, I must firmly restate my deepest appreciation to our distinguished Sen. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for his sponsorship which made the convention a realistic project. To all delegates from across Kwara and other states present at the convention, thank you all. I remain ever committed towards building NANS of our dream. God bless NANS”
