ASUU: FG to look into ‘No Work, No Pay’ decision, sets up committee

The Federal Government has said that it has set up a tactical committee to look into the ‘no work, no pay’ stance against striking members of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities.

This was announced by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong.

This came following the resolution of a meeting by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, with Pro-Chancellors, Chairmen of Councils and Vice Chancellors of universities.

The meeting was one of the efforts to put an end to the seven-month industrial strike by lecturers of public universities.

He revealed that the committee is to also review the issues of increase in the salaries of the university teachers and come up with possible solutions.
