Thieving teenagers escaped being burnt by angry mob in Ibadan

Some traders arrested two teenagers on Friday at the popular Dugbe market in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The two teenagers were arrested after they allegedly broke into a shop at the market.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the two suspected thieves, Yusuff Olaide and Tunde Badmus were arrested by the traders in the early hours of Friday.

The teenagers who narrowly escaped being burnt by an angry mob at the Dugbe area after they were arrested, said they were residents of Agbokojo area of Ibadan.

Sources said the teenagers who pretend to be scavengers constantly rob shops without being caught.

They were reportedly saved from the angry mob by policemen from the Iyaganku police station who arrived at the scene and rescued them.

Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the development.

He added that the timely intervention of the Police averted a potential jungle justice.
