OYSROMA Chairman meets FERMA Director over non-completion of federal roads

The Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, has met with the Zonal Director-General of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Engineer Yemi Ojo, to discuss the non completion of federal roads as part of the agency’s mission to make all Oyo State roads free of potholes and motorable, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports

On Monday, Ogunlade spoke with the FERMA Director-General about the condition of several of the federal roads in Oyo State, which had been the subject of daily complaints.

He urged FERMA to speed up the process of restoring the state’s roads, saying that they connect cities, towns, and communities and make it easier to convey people and commodities.

In his response, the FERMA DG in Oyo State assured the OYSROMA Chairman that a team of engineers from FERMA will start by inspecting each federal road leading to Oyo State’s towns, taking measurements, and starting to figure out how they can take proactive measures to improve the condition of those roads.

The OYSROMA Chairman then urged all Oyo state citizens to practice patience, saying that he expected the Ferma team to follow all federal road regulations.
