Owo Massacre: NYSC member donates cash support, gifts to orphans

A member of the National Youth Service Corp, Mr. Wisdom Oluwaseun Okoko has put smiles on the faces of some orphans whose parents died during a deadly attack by gunmen on worshipers at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State on June 5th, 2022.

In a viral video released by Prime Endowment Initiative where it featured the kids who were rendered helpless as a result of the dead of their mother.

The organisation sees the massacre on the worshipers as evil and wishes to solicit more funds from kindhearted people to alleviate the sufferings of victims of the unfortunate incident.

Mr. Okoko joined other donors to support the orphans with a fundraising and his NYSC allowance to the tune of N50,000 in celebration of his birthday on 19th of June.

Speaking to Mouthpiece NGR on the development after the donation, Okoko, a native of Ijumu in Kogi State, said it had always been his desire to identify with the less privileged and put smiles on their faces, especially on his birthdays.

The Ogun state Corp member who was also the former Student Union President, UNILORIN added that the cash support will cushion the effect of incident towards their education as it will be used to foot their school fees bills.

“This donation has been made to Prime Endowment Initiative so as to be able to use it for their next term school fees. In essence, this cash support will be used for their school fees.”- He said.
