JUST IN: Ido LG Councillors reportedly place Chairman on indefinite suspension 

The Legislative Arm of Ido Local Government Council has suspended the Executive chairman of the council, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi ADEOJO in the plenary held at the council legislative house on Tuesday, MOUTHPIECE NGR has learnt. 

It was gathered that the Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Omotosho Rafiu from ward 3, accused Ido council boss of lack of accountability and poor infrastructure across the 10 wards that made up the Local Government Council.

The motion of his suspension was reportedly seconded by the Chief Whip of the House, Hon. Adebowale Adedeji from ward 7 

MOUTHPIECE NGR learnt that Hon. ADEOJO was suspended indefinitely some minutes after the House observed a minute silent over the demise of one of their colleagues who passed on recently.

When the Leader of the Legislative Council Hon. Abidoye Trimisiyu who presided over the proceeding called for voting all the the nine Honorable councillors jointly supported the motion.

The leader therefore ruled for the indefinite suspension of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi ADEOJO.
