Hoodlums set INEC office on fire in Enugu

Some hoodlums have set ablaze the Enugu State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The office of the electoral commission in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, has been burnt down by some hoodlums.

It was gathered that the incident happened, Sunday night when the hoodlums invaded the office located at the council’s headquarters in Ogurute.

All efforts to communicate the spokesperson of the police in the state, ASP Daniel Ndukwe proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.

However, it was also gathered that the state fire service was not able to extinguish the inferno until the entire building was razed down.

MOUTHPIECE NGR recalls that the state government had recently placed a 6 pm to 6 am curfew on the people of the state and also placed a ban on commercial motorcyclists in the Igboeze North and its neighbouring Igboeze South LGAs.
