Suspected Boko Haram men kidnap 2 women in Borno

Borno State Commissioner of Police, Abdu Umar, has affirmed that some Boko Haram men kidnapped two women in Mairari village, Konduga Local Government Area of the State.

The CP made this confirmation while speaking to newsmen in Maiduguri, saying the incident happened on June 7.

“At about 7.30, one Ari Mustapha of Mairari village in Konduga, reported that some gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents invaded his home and kidnapped his two daughters.

“He said they were aged 26 and 30 and that the insurgents stole two bulls and other belongings before fleeing away,” the CP said.

He said that on receiving the information, a team of the security agency swung into a search and rescue mission.

The CP said the command would continue to search until the victims regain their freedom and go back to their families.
