PRESIDENCY: Only Atiku has a grasp of the country’s problems— Dare Adeleke

With the conventions done and dusted, it is now time to thoroughly examine each candidate to determine which of them can take Nigeria out of its present sick state.

We have seen three major contenders emerge as presidential flag bearers, namely: Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Bola Ahmed Tinubu (APC) and Peter Obi (LP).

It is the time now to ask who is more prepared, more experienced, and more passionate of the three candidates with wide national appeal.

Without beating around the bush, the empirical truth is that the most prepared, the most politically versed, the most structured, the most passionate and the most experienced is, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

There is no doubt that Nigeria, our country, is currently at a cross roads and only a man with vision, will power and tenacity can bring us out of the doldrums of insecurity, economic strangulation and the despair which the APC has plunged us in for the past four years.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is the most qualified person for the job, a man who has been prepared for the past three decades, studying, experiencing and understanding the unique Nigerian situation.

At a point in our existence as a nation, we all came to the agreement that Nigeria as presently constituted, cannot work. We have toyed with various ideas, which include, true federalism, resource control, etc. Confabs have been held, reports submitted but unfortunately, they have all been relegated to the relics in a wrecked ship at the bottom of a sunk ship.

So, what do we need in a leader now if we are agreed that our continued coexistence as a unified federation is our strength? We look for the best option and that best option is what we have come to know as restructuring.

There is only one unifier among the existing candidates. He has unpretentiously and unwaveringly forwarded and proffered restructuring as the lasting solution to the national cry for justice, fairness and equity on all facets of life.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, like a lone voice in the wilderness, took on the campaign for restructuring while it was still a stilted cause and a muted cry from the oppressed. He insisted that for equal distribution of wealth, development and progress, the country must be restructured.

Nigeria’s most prepared candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came out with a 5-point realizable agenda as he was declaring for president.

A cursory look at this agenda, shows a man who is not only tested but a man who has a grasp of the country’s problems, having been Vice President for eight years, eight years of which he was part of steering Nigeria out of the yoke of heavy debts. The debts have unfortunately piled up again with the bungling APC government’s eight years of waste.

This is why Nigeria needs Atiku now and desperately so too.

In his 5-point development agenda, a wholesomely detribalized Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, came out with a blueprint to steer Nigeria  towards unity, equality, social justice and cooperation among people.

WHY ATIKU?

His agenda promises a strong and effective Democratic government that will ensure the safety and security of life and property.

He will build a strong and prosperous economy which will create jobs and wealth and therefore lift millions out of poverty.

In his agenda which will become the Holy Grail of a renaissance of a New Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as president of Nigeria will promote a strong and TRUE federal system.

Education system will be strengthened and students equipped with all the necessary skills required in the  competitive new global order, driven by innovation, science and technology.

On the economy, Alhaji Abubakar, a man who has traversed both private and public sectors with huge success, will be guided by three basic principles which include re-affirming the private sector, repositioning the public sector and breaking government monopoly in all infrastructure sectors, including refineries, rail transportation and power transmission.

Improving IGR, promoting export, blocking leakages and encouraging a robust public private partnerships are all part of his robust economic plan.

On national security, Alhaji Abubakar will conduct a census  reactivate meaningful registration at birth as a way of reducing the crime rate and protecting Nigerians.

Alhaji Abubakar in his 5-point agenda said there will be an approval of state police under his government as he promised restructure and decentralize security institutions to deal decisively with terrorism, kidnapping and other crimes.

I will advise every Nigerian to go through the detailed 5-point agenda because therein lies the solution to Nigeria’s myriad of problems.

A man not given to rhetorics, our flagbearer has challenged voters to hold him by his words because he will achieve each of the items on his agenda when he becomes president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We cannot gainsay Atiku Abubakar’s relevance and  the fact that Nigeria needs him now at this critical time.

Alhaji Abubakar, the Turaki Adamawa, is the attractive dogged fighter, a man whose passion for his country has been burning for over thirty years, sacrificing, given and working towards national unity.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a symbol of morals, a vessel of discipline, an irredentist and true Nigerian.

We need a man with guts, brawn, tenacity and unwavering belief in the Nigerian project to rescue Nigeria now.

Atiku Abubakar is the man.
