Presidency fires back at Bishop Oyedepo over comment against Buhari

A spokesperson of President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, on Tuesday, fired back at the Founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, over comment against the President.

He said that the bishop harbours hatred for the President.

MOUTHPIECE NGR had reported that the cleric has criticized the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, as the most corrupt government so far.

The bishop said this during a special prayer for the nation, on Monday.

The cleric lamented that corruption has imposed unbearable hardship on the people of the country.

He decried the manner government officials are alleged of corruption, even when the federal government claims to be fighting corruption.

He said the N80 billion alleged to have been stolen by the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, could meet the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Adesina in his reaction said Oyedepo could not differentiate between the Accountant General and the Auditor General of the Federation.

Adesina via a tweet wrote: “The bishop at Ota can’t even get his facts right. Blinded by hatred for PMB, he says Auditor General stole N80bn.

“Pity! He doesn’t know the difference between Accountant General (only alleged) and Auditor General. Like OBJ said long ago, we should begin to ordain our own bishops.”
