Bandits ask for N100 million from Kajuru kidnap victims in Southern Kaduna

Bandits have asked for N100 million ransom from relatives, friends and parents of 30 worshipers abducted in Kajuru.

MOUTHPIECE NGR learnt that bandits had invaded three communities in Kajuru LGA on June 5, 2022, murdered scores of worshippers and abducted 30 worshipers.

Comrade Luka Biniyat, the spokesperson of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), has expressed dissatisfaction over the incessant kidnap of Southern Kaduna people.

He disclosed that some of the abducted female victims are impregnated.

He said, “these are people whose homes were destroyed, their foodstuff and animals rustled and left with nothing. Southern Kaduna natives alone pay kidnappers at least N4 billion in ransom each year since 2020.

“Victims of the recent attack said that a helicopter aided the invaders. The helicopter started raining bullets on the natives, giving the attackers a huge advantage to take on the peaceful community.”

He expressed his surprise as the Nigerian Air Force had not refuted the report.
