BREAKING: Top Minister resigns over Presidential ambition 

Mouthpiece NGR reports that Minister of State for Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba has tendered his resignation letter today in order to focus on the forthcoming All Progressives Congress presidential primary election.

President Muhammadu Buhari made this known today during the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

He announced that Emeka Nwajuiba, Minister of State for Education, had quit the cabinet to focus on his presidential ambition.

Hon Nwajiuba obtained his nomination form last week and he is expected to battle for the APC ticket with the likes of Tinubu, Osibanjo, and others.

The tenure of the minister is tainted with unceasing industrial actions by ASUU, a union that has been on strike since February 24.

His resignation is coming less than six hours President Muhammadu Buhari ordered every member of the Federal Executive Council who have ambition to contest elective offices in 2023 general elections to resign on or before May 16, 2022.
