PHOTOS: Excitement as Oyo majority leader empowers constituents

The Oyo State Majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin on Thursday launched his mega empowerment programme in Ogbomoso South Local Government.

The empowerment programme, held at Ogbomoso High School, was monitored by Mouthpiece NGR correspondent.

Some of the equipment distributed at the programme include Freezers, Grinding machines, Generators, Hair dryers, Sprayers, Gas cookers, among others.

In his welcome address, the PDP Chairman, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Apostle Olamoyegun appreciated the massive support of Hon. Sanjay towards the constituents.

“I want to specially thank our Honourable for this massive empowerment and also implore the masses to continue to throw their support.”

In a goodwill message of Dr. Saka Balogun who was ably represented and delivered by Hon. Bayo Bankole relayed the need to always see Hon. Sanjay as their own son and equally enjoined everyone to support Sanjay’s reelection bid.

“Dr. Saka Balogun regretted not being able to be present physically. Having emphasized on the need to uphold the tenets of democracy, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin should be seen as our own and his reelection project as ours.”

The Chief of Staff to Gov. Makinde also represented by Ogbomoso South L. G Chairman, Hon. Oyeniyi Oladokun Timothy urged all beneficiaries to maximise the opportunity availed to them through this mega empowerment.

“The only best way to appreciate Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin by providing this equipment is by making use of the equipment donated religiously. Let’s shun the idea of selling of those equipment.

In his remark, HRH Oba Sunday Oladiran cleared air on the major misconceptions about Sanjay’s non-performance which are making the rounds. He noted that the peddlers are naysayers whose their personal interests has superceded the interest of the masses.

While addressing the attendees, Hon Sanjo Adedoyin highlighted his successes since the inception of his administration which ranges from the bills and motions sponsored to other oversight functions.

“I understand that if people should get hold of our stewardship since the inception of our administration, they would know how far we’ve come. Our administration has sponsored and co-sponsored several bills and motions of public importance.”

He appreciated the PDP, Ogbomoso South, beneficiaries and others for their unalloyed supports which brought about monumental developments attained so far.

“Many thanks to the PDP family, beneficiaries and the good people of Ogbomoso South for their unflinching support. Much is still yet to be done. Through your support, we’ll achieve over-all success.”- He said.
