Oke LEGACY commiserates with Gov. Makinde, Oyo Mesi over passage of Alaafin Oyo

Member, Oyo Local Government Service Commission, Hon. John Adisa Oke also known as LEGACY has commiserated with His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, Oyo-mesi and the entire Yoruba race both at home and in the diaspora over the transition of Alaafin, Oba Adeyemi, the third from the Alowodu Ruling House.

In his condolence message made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Sunday, Hon. Oke described Oba Adeyemi as one of the great promoters of Yoruba culture and tradition.

He said Oyo State has lost one of the foremost and most respected traditional rulers in Nigeria because of the unique position the Alaafin of Oyo holds as a descendant Oduduwa.

“Baba will be greatly missed. His death is an end of Era. We have lost a colossal.”

“I pray God should find a peaceful resting place for the soul of the late Oba Adeyemi and grant his family and the entire people of Oyo town the fortitude to bear the loss.”
