NEXTGEN KIDZ FOUNDATION pays tuition fees of 15 students, gives writing materials, sensitizes the pupils

The Next Generation Kidz Foundation has paid the tuition fees of fifteen (15) pupils of Alore A LGEA Primary School, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. It was a touch of glam and glitz at the school premises as over fifty (50) students received writing materials; branded note books, pens and pencils, chalks and edibles.

The country director, Mr Idowu Tobi Michael noted that, “paying school fees of indigent youths was part of transforming education and borne out of the determination and commitment to develop the youths. When countries invest in the education, health and empowerment of their young people, opportunities are created for them to realise their dreams as future of tomorrow — a similitude to the intent of the nomenclature of the foundation, Next Generation Kidz Foundation. I enjoin other stakeholders to take up this challenge so as to help some of our youths back to school,” he said.

While compering the event, the Head of Publicity and and Communication Strategy, Mr Basheer Luqman Olarewaju-Unique said that young people should be allowed to participate in developing ideas and work to see the youths as an opportunity for Nigeria. It is time when the world, governments, development actors and communities celebrate young people as a force for positive social change.

Mr Tobi reiterated the need to pray for the supporters and donors of the foundation, specially, Pastor Byron Wicks and pastor (Mrs) Keisha Wicks and Mrs Abiola Yusuf for their unrelenting efforts committed to creating safe space for the kids.

While thanking the foundation, the Headmistress of Alore A LGEA Primary School, Alhaja (Mrs) AbdulRahman Sherifat, said she was so grateful to the NGO for helping the students pay school fees and prayed that God will continue to bless the founder and the kind-hearted people who are supporting the foundation.

The Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr Aliyu Abdullahi Oba, while giving the vote of thanks and appreciating the NGO for the good work it is doing, he said before now the children were finding it difficult to pay their school fees, but Next Generation Kidz Foundation has made things easy for them.

In his remarks, the project director, Comrade Adebayo Olosasa Saheed, said education should be free to all, acceptable, relevant, good quality and accountable. “Every child has the right to education as this can make them active agents of change and be participant of making difference in the society,” he said.
