We are coming for you— COS sends strong warning to Sunday Igboho, others

Lt. -Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has stated that the army will soon move against separatist agitators such as Sunday Igboho and Asari Dokubo.

Attahiru’s alert came at the first Commanding Officers’ Workshop 2021 in Uyo, where he vowed that the Nigerian Army would deal decisively with all security threats the country faces, including those raised by secessionist agitators like Igboho and Dokubo.

Attahiru reassured Nigerians that the Nigerian Army will soon defeat attempts by some individuals to jeopardise the country’s territorial integrity by declaring sovereignty on behalf of ethnic nationalities. “Under my leadership, the Nigerian Army will remain vigilant and collaborate with other security agencies to decisively deal with the nation’s threats.

“Under my leadership, the Nigerian Army is more prepared than ever to deal decisively with individuals or groups who threaten the unity, defence, and stability of our great nation,” he said.

Participants at the workshop, titled “Repositioning the Nigerian Army to Defeat Contemporary Adversaries in a Joint Setting,” were urged by Attahiru to follow the dictates of their nation’s duty.

The COAS said that he would continue to provide mission-oriented training through workshops and develop military capability in order for the army to be dependable and feared by all adversaries.
