The Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology – Ogbomoso has placed total ban on final year students sign off activities otherwise known as logout by students.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that final year students at every second semester organizes log out week activities to commemorate their long sojourn on campus.

The management committee at its meeting of Wednesday, March 24, 2021 deliberated on the submission of the Chairman Committee of Provost and Deans on the above matter and decided to place total ban on the activities.

The communique made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Tuesday also stated that any hotel that accommodates 500 level students graduating for sign off activities does so at its own risk.

Recall that Mouthpiece NGR had reported how a staff raised eye brawl on the conduct of the activities.

The staff wondered why a program that promotes gross immoralities, indisciplines by wayward final year students be overlooked by the school management.

According to him, what’s the academic relevance of so called log out activities by final year students when such program always witness tension and apprehension among other students and staff of the school?

What benefit to school at large of a program that always end with shooting of guns to students, maiming of students and commiting all sorts of vices courtsey logout activities.”

“The  most pathetic situation is the rigours/ordeals the pupils of LAUTECH Staff School and LAUTECH International College always face, seeing their elder brothers and sisters behaving wild, exhibiting greatest signs of poeple that have gone berserk.”
