Covid-19: LAUTECH distributes free customized nose cover to all students (PHOTOS)

In a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Students Union Caretaker Committee in collaboration with management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has distributed free customised nose cover to about 33,000 Students across all departments in the institution. 

The Dean of students affairs, Dr Azeem Ige disclosed this in an official memo on Monday to notify the students about the distribution and collection of the “FREE NOSE COVER”.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that both students of College of Medicine and Main campus were the beneficiaries of the project.

The statement reads, “The LAUTECH STUDENTS’ UNION EXECUTIVE CARETAKER COMMITTEE with the support of the UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT is giving out NOSE mask to all students of the institution in compliance with the COVID-19 guideline protocols for FREE.”

“This is to inform all students to start going to their various Heads of department to get theirs as the nose masks have been made available for all.”

“Collection starts from 3:00PM  today, Monday, 18th of January, 2021.”

“We are all aware of the second wave of transmission being currently experienced by several nations of the world. Therefore, the need for full compliance with all prescribed preventive measures for controlling the disease cannot be overemphasized.”

“The directive is for all students to make efficient use of the Nose mask as the rule henceforth is No face mask, no entry into the campus. Likewise, keep the nose mask on throughout your stay within the University community.”

While reiterating that the customized nose cover is not for sale, the Dean of students affairs emphasized the need for all students to use the free nose cover provided by the School all through their stay on campus each day.
