Don’t divide us in Ogbomoso South— Community tells Sanjo Adedoyin

A Community development group in Ogbomoso South local government area, Oje Descendants Union, ODU, has criticised the Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon Sanjo Adedoyin over his moves to divide and cause chaos in the LG area since his assumption as member representing them at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

This follows the mild drama at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday, 27th August 2020.

Mouthpiece NGR had reported on Friday how the majority leader of the house, representing Ogbomoso South, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin frontally rejected Engr Seyi Makinde’s nominee on the basis that he is not a true son of Ogbomoso South.

ODU, in a communique issued and jointly signed by its National President, Prince Adedoyin Adelowo and Secretary, Prince Atobatele Ayano called on the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom, HIM Oba Sunday Oladapo Olagbami Osekun III, Engr Seyi Makinde, RT Hon Adebo Ogundoyin, RT Hon Mulikat Akande Adeola, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi to call the first time lawmaker to order over what they call moves to divide indigines of the LG area.

They noted that it’s saddening that Hon Sanjo is the only lawmaker in the history of Ogbomoso zone to go against nominations from his local government, in what they called a privileged from the Governor.

“Its saddening that Hon Sanjo who primarily cannot win an election in his ward is trying to divide us in Ogbomoso South local government area because of political reasons, he tried it during the Caretaker Chairmen screening he failed now he did it again during OYSIEC members screening lying that Mr Sunday Falana of Apagborin compound is not from Ogbomoso South LG, a move he failed with again.

“Onpetu, Gov Makinde, Speaker, Mulikat and Ogunwuyi should call him to order, we are one in Ogbomoso South local government area, he should not try and divide or cause chaos among us.”

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that on Tuesday, among the eight members, the nominee from Ogbomoso, Mr Sunday Falana was purportedly rejected by Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin suspected to be nursing an undue agenda during plenary screening.
