BREAKING: Makinde visits LAUTECH teaching hospital
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday visited LAUTECH teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Mouthpiece NGR reports.
His visit, according to reliable source is to meet with staff in the teaching hospital who are threatening to embark on industrial action.
Mouthpiece NGR recalls that Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, had on Tuesday, May, 2020 accused Oyo state Government of neglecting their 24 months salary arrears.
The statement was jointly signed by its President, Dr Abraham Akinbola and General Secretary, Dr Abubakar Usman.
The doctors were demanding for the immediate payment of the backlog arrears to prevent strike.
Another source who spoke to Mouthpiece NGR hinted that his visit may be to inspect the teaching hospital as both Oyo and Osun state government are already working on how to go separate ways.
