PHOTOS: EFCC Arrests 11 Yahoo Boys In Ibadan, Other Area
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, arrested 11 suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as ‘Yahoo-Yahoo Boys’.
Six of the suspects were arrested at Ologunerun, a suburb in Ibadan, Oyo State. The other five were picked up at a location in Ijebu-Remo, Ogun State.

The arrest of the suspects who are between the age of 17 and 29 years, was occasioned by petitions from their neighbors, detailing their alleged fraudulent activities.
The alleged acts includes love scam and other forms of internet fraud through which they obtain money from unsuspecting victims.
Items recovered from them includes laptop computers, mobile phones and several documents containing false pretenses.
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
