LAUTECH: Alao-Akala, A ‘Maradona’ Trying To keep Offside When Match Is Over

There’s no reason hiding under shade when it’s obvious that his excellency, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala know the writer in person. I’ve no excuse to remain mute when things are falling apart in Ogbomoso where LAUTECH is situated.

Otunba Alao Akala have taken a wrong decision by pitching tent with the party he angrily condemned in a video that went viral online, whilst reacting on the suspension of his son as Oyo North local government chairman. His action has sent a strong signal that he’s only concerned about himself.
Chief Otunba Alao Akala has satisfied his conscientious display of covetousness by changing his tongue suddenly because of DODO and the free for all largesse. He must have made up to 100 billions within this electioneering campaign period. Big kudos. He’s such a great bussiness man.
Although, people are complaining and not happy with his decision, especially supporters and followers, but I will not be surprised to see them again on the day of election, mobilizing support for all the ADP candidates and Uncle Penkelemess in APC. Our people are just gullible.
OGBOMOSO has always been a town of integrity where voice of superiority will never stand; the Jinx got broken the day Akala and SOUN of Ogbomoso flexed out muscle on who hold the ‘ace’ during the 2015 election. The candidate of Akala for the house of Representatives defeated the son of the King with a wide margin. So historical.
Yes, it’s true that both young and old are warriors in Ogbomoso, they are fearless and even make decision in presence of oppressors, they are smart such that not even their blood can trade them for token. But with this present situation, the music has completely changed.
No one seems to be trusted anymore. Everyone now fighting for their pocket and looking for political relevance. Akala has decided to trade his people instead of leading them to promise land.

I could remember he once told me and my colleagues in his house that “he was one of the founding fathers of LAUTECH, but how come he has suddenly forgotten that statement and want the institution to die now?  Why did he just decided to forsake his ambition when many people had so much rely on him ? Why is he acting like a tricky chameleon ?
Chief Alao Akala, is someone loved by all and sundry, his political activeness in the state is unprecedented as he has become an institute where numbers of upcoming politicians come for his orientation and tutelage. The people of Ogbomoso love him so much such that they can sacrifice anything for him. They voted for all his candidates in the last election despite collecting money from PDP and APC.
These people even went on allowing Salahudeen from Oke Ogun to lead Fatai Buhari and Mulikat Adeola in Ogbomoso with a wide margin because of their love for him. Yet he failed to allow his choice to be guided by what his people want. O ma se oo…
Tinubu who has came to ask for his hand in coalition force against the will of the people of Oyo state was in Lagos, sipping malted gulder and cow-meat, when they unjustly unseat his son as LG chairman, he’s a chancellor of a school in his town that never enjoyed stable academic activities, this same Baba that always come once in every four years to install ‘Ajele’ on our land and left us with degenerated messes couldn’t even say anything when the situation was bad.
When we were down and the Varsity’s life was at the lowest ebb due to the crisis of poor funding foisted on it by the duo of APC administration in Oyo and Osun states, we didn’t hear much from the political class to salvage the situation.
We only heard from High Chief Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, Senator Sumonu Monsurat, Engr. Seyi Makinde who did not only talk but walked the talk by assisting the institution with donations. Ladoja, Akala and others played a prominent role during the impasse. We didn’t hear anything from *Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.*
There was the story of what ought to have been CBN’s intervention project for LAUTECH, but taken somewhere else (even when the beneficiary institution was yet to be licensed). Up till this moment, nobody knows the status of Technical University, whether it is private or public.
Should we have at least 70% funding of LAUTECH, we wouldn’t have gone through the crisis in the last 3 years, your Union wouldn’t have been called names, neither would the Varsity have been christened negatively.
We can assess our collective gains in those painful periods, and thus evaluate the propriety of campaigning and voting for these “power-missed-road” emperors and their stooges.
We all have role to play, at least by looking at issues and shun unnecessary partyism. The crisis in education in the two states warrants “electoral revolution”, to be championed by those who know, the academia.
If due to partyism or ethnicity, we succumb to another *gárèjì olóde treaty,* ó di gòbe nì yen o.
*Kí olórun kó ràn wá lówó (àmín).*
On a final note, I want to remind Chief Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala that the result of the just concluded election has revealed that, he can only have the respect of his people, when they’re considered in his decision.
Omisoore lost the love of his people through an euphoric collaboration against the will of public opinion, the result of Osun East senatorial election is capable of reminding him the danger ahead of him.
