Breaking: Heavy Tension As Oyo Lawmaker, Temitope Olatoye Shot In The Eye, Rushed To UCH

A serving lawmaker representing Akinyele/ Lagelu federal constituency, Hon. Temitope Olatoye has been killed by some suspected political thugs.

MouthpieceNG reliably gathered that Olatoye who lost the National Assembly election bid to return to the Senate two weeks ago had voted at his polling unit, Alape village in Ward 13 Lagelu local government area before he was shot.
Reports from reliable source confirmed that the lawmaker is dead, but efforts made by insiders in UCH to confirm if he was dead proved abortive.
A close source who informed MouthpieceNG told our correspondent that Olatoye who contested under the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADP for Oyo central senatorial election in the 2019 election was shot in the eyes.
According to reports, Olatoye was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), immediately he was shot.
Olatoye had last year dumped the ruling APC and joined the Action Democratic Party (ADP) where he ran in the election held on Saturday 23rd February. 
DAILY POST reports that, “all effort to get reactions of the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Olugbenga Fadeyi and Olusegun Oluwole respectively proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
Fadeyi, when called, said he will call DAILY POST back when he is furnished with the details of the incident.
Oluwole told journalists that he has been out of the command but will also furnish journalists with the detailed information about the incident
